Heath Ledger

Alguns dias atrás foi o aniversário do Heath Ledger (4 de abril, para ser específica). Quase uma semana atrás...
Coitado...ele tinha tanto talento. E morreu tão jovem....não tinha nem 30 anos (data de falecimento: 22/janeiro/2008).

Eu lembro que eu fiquei sabendo que ele morreu no dia em que eu estava indo para a Anime Dreams o.o

Então, em homenagem a esse grande ator, um post sobre ele. Com direito a video e foto!

Sinto muito pela perda de um cara tão talentoso e com um futuro tão promissor quanto ele...

Heathcliff Andrew Ledger (Perth, 4 de abril de 1979 — Nova Iorque, 22 de janeiro de 2008) foi um ator australiano. Depois de papéis na televisão durante a década de 1990, Ledger iniciou sua carreira em Hollywood. Estrelou em sucessos de público e crítica como 10 Things I Hate About You, The Patriot, Ned Kelly, A Knight's Tale e Brokeback Mountain (que foi O filme *-*). Em 2007, concluiu a sua performance de Coringa no filme The Dark Knight, sequência ainda não lançada de Batman Begins. O seu último filme, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, ficou incompleto por ocasião de sua morte. A imprensa divulgou recentemente uma nota que três atores (entre eles Johnny Depp e Jude Law) serão convidados a substitui-lo na produção.
Na manhã do dia 22 de janeiro de 2008, a empregada do ator, Teresa Solomon, entrou no apartamento do ator, situado no bairro do Soho - Nova Iorque, com sua própria chave, para seu trabalho habitual. Por volta das treze horas, ela entrou no quarto de Ledger para trocar uma lâmpada, e viu o ator dormindo.
Às 14h45, a massagista Diana Wolozin apareceu para sua sessão agendada com o ator. Wolozin e Solomon bateram à porta do quarto de Ledger mas não obtiveram resposta. A massagista então entrou no quarto, preparou a mesa de massagem e tentou acordar Ledger.


Wolozin disse à polícia que, a essa altura, o ator já estava frio, porém, acreditou que ele estava apenas inconsciente. Decidiu então pegar o celular de Ledger e ligou para a atriz Mary-Kate Olsen, cujo número estava na memória – os dois eram amigos - e perguntou a ela o que deveria fazer. Olsen, que também vive em Manhattan mas se encontrava na Califórnia, respondeu dizendo que enviaria seus seguranças privados para ajudar na situação. Na seqüência, a massagista ligou para o resgate. A atendente da emergência ainda orientou Wolozin nas técnicas de reanimação.
Os paramédicos chegaram minutos depois, praticamente no mesmo momento em que os seguranças de Olsen também apareceram. Ledger já estava morto.
Diversas hipóteses foram levantadas pelas autoridades e a imprensa em relação à verdadeira causa da morte prematura do ator, inclusive suicídio. Após duas semanas de investigação, o IML de Nova Iorque finalmente concluiu que a causa da morte havia sido por intoxicação acidental de remédios prescritos com efeitos calmante e sonífero.

Some days ago was Heat Ledger’s birthday (4th April, specifically). Almost a week ago...
Poor Heath...he was so talented. And died so young....he wasn’t even 30 years old yet (death’s date: 22/january/2008).
I remember that when I knew he had died, I was going to Anime Dreams (an anime event here in Brazil) o.o

So, in memory of such a great actor, a post about him. With video and photo!

Heathcliff Andrew Ledger (Perth, 4th April, 1979 — New York, 22nd January ,2008) was an Australian actor. After some works on television in the 90’s, Ledger started his career in Hollywood. Made public success and critics as 10 Things I Hate About You, The Patriot, Ned Kelly, A Knight's Tale e Brokeback Mountain (which was THE movie *-*). In 2007, concluded his performance in the movie The Dark Knight, sequence still not released of Batman Begins. His last movie, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, wasn’t concluded because of his death. The midi said that three actors (amongst them Johnny Depp and Jude Law) will be invited to substitute him in the production.


At about 2:45 PM on January 22, 2008, Ledger was found unconscious in his fourth-floor loft apartment, at 421 Broome Street, in SoHo, Manhattan. Emergency crews arrived soon after but were unable to revive him. He was pronounced dead at 3:36 p.m., and his body removed from the apartment, while crowds of onlookers began gathering outside throughout that night.
After two weeks of intense media speculation about possible causes of his death, on 6 February 2008, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of New York released its conclusions, based on an initial autopsy of January 23, 2008, and a subsequent complete toxicological analysis. The report concludes, in part, "Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of medication." It also states definitively: "We have concluded that the manner of death is accident, resulting from the abuse of prescription medications."The medications found in the toxicological analysis are commonly prescribed in the United States for insomnia, anxiety, depression, pain, and/or cold symptoms. The Medical Examiner's Office also announced that it would not be publicly disclosing the official estimated time of death. The official announcement of the cause of Ledger's death heightened concerns about general "abuse of prescription medications." Late in February 2008, a still-ongoing DEA investigation of medical professionals "cleared" two American medics, who practice in Los Angeles and Houston, of "any wrongdoing," determining that "the doctors in question had prescribed Ledger other medications–not the pills that killed him.”
